David attended the renown University of North Texas where he earned his BA in Jazz Arranging. Throughout his college experience, he played in a huge assortment of student ensembles on campus studying styles ranging from Duke Ellington to Tower of Power. He also gigged in various professional groups throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area and taught clarinet, saxophone, flute and piano lessons. Now David is living and playing in the Seattle area and is actively involved in a wide range of projects including composing and playing in The Dave Dolengewicz Trio and with the Jazz Police big band.
